FAQS

you have questions, we have answers

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES YOU FROM OTHER MARKETS?

Our market is 100% vendor produced goods, while most markets have a percentage scale closer to 80/20. What is sold here is grown here. We take great pride in providing the best quality and fostering new relationships. Shoppers get to know the people who provide their food, and vendors meet the community they nourish.  Each week at our market, small family farms and small businesses come to our markets offering smiles, samples, recipes and an incredible array of local foods and quality handmade goods passing down generations of information and a passion for sharing what they grow.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Gastonia Farmers Market accepts Cash, Credit and Debit Cards, WIC vouchers and EBT (Foodstamps). Check out our video on how to use your EBT here!

IS THERE EASILY ACCESSIBLE PARKING?

Yes! We have a large parking lot that is free to the public.

CAN I BRING MY PUP (OR CAT, OR SUGAR GLIDER?)

While we love animals, we have to ask that they stay at home for your trip here (service dogs are the ONLY exception). It's not us, it's the Health Department. We appreciate you understanding!

WHEN'S THE BEST TIME TO COME?

Get here as early as you can. Usually we have a line at 7:30 when we open and you'll find that by 10:30am we're already pretty picked through! Although we stay open until 12:30 vendors have been known to leave early if they sell out or don't have a lot left, their cows get out or are just plain exhausted-most pick the stuff they bring the morning of-aren't we grateful that they haul those crops of watermelons in from the fields for us at 3am? Eeesh!
